Show Opportunities

Weatherford FFA advisors haul to three majors shows and our county show each year, please check with your species advisor on which shows they are.

Outside of majors and county there are many local opportunities to get your project in the show ring. As these local opportunities arise we will ATTEMPT to add links below. Please remember it is the exhibitors responsibility
to find the jackpots/prospect shows, as the information does not always come to us first.

Calf Scramble

If you/your student would like to participate in calf scrambles please see Mrs. Seal for information. There are scrambles at the major shows this spring, as well as, our local Parker county show. This enables student to win funds to purchase livestock. Students must have their own transportation.

Quality Counts

EVERY STUDENT must take a quality counts verification test.

Also once a student begins the 9th grade they must retest in the senior level. Please make sure this is completed prior to Entry Night.

Please click the link below to view study materials and take the exam.

Attached in the link below are instructions for first time users. It would be very beneficial for each exhibitor to read the instruction PRIOR to beginning the course.

Stock Show Absence Procedure

If your student is going to be missing school due to a stock show, please email your advisor at least two weeks prior to the event, that way the absences can be coded, to prevent attendance issues.

If you have a Middle School FFA Member or a Jr. FFA Member, please allow extra time as the other schools follow different procedures than Weatherford High School. A stock show absence form must be printed and filled out by the exhibitor (Parent/student) and returned to the Ag Teacher for additional signatures. This form can be found in the document section at the bottom of the page. If it is not there, please contact Mrs. Seal.
